Enthused by the Suitcase Full of Stories Project, children from nurseries in the Vale of Glamorgan visited Hensol Forest lead by Sheena O’Leary, Forest Commission Education Officer and Sarah Argent, Project Director, to gain inspiration for their stories. |

University of Bristol Transition Project The play and speakers will be followed by a discussion with the participation of delegates including Student Teachers from UWIC and their tutors. Theatr Iolo was invited to work with Bristol University Graduate School of Education to collaborate on the Home-School Knowledge Exchange Project.

Weapon Offences Workshop Theatr Iolo joins forces with South Wales Police as part of the Governments national initiative to tackle knife crime. South Wales Police have a strong desire to reduce knife crime and as a result reducing serious injuries and deaths by nurturing a closer relationship with young people throughout the force area. Schools Liaison Officers within the Vale of Glamorgan are keen to develop this scheme by implementing a series of Educational Drama Workshops within the Vale of Glamorgan’s Comprehensive Schools to discuss the issues of knife crime within the UK. Theatre Iolo has appointed Emyr Bell to co-ordinate this project and to work with the young people on this exciting but extremely important venture. Emyr is an experienced workshop facilitator and has worked extensively as an actor within theatre for young people and community theatre, television and radio for the past fourteen years. |
