Drama Teacher’s Course
Theatr Iolo support and administer this annual residential course for teachers of Drama Education in schools. Aimed at teachers of drama in secondary schools, leaders of literacy and leaders of the expressive arts in primary and secondary schools and KS2 teachers with an interest in developing learning and teaching approaches that incorporate drama.
It is an interactive course that explores how drama and theatre can make an important contribution to the four purposes of hte Donaldson curriculum. The course examines the implications that the new curriculum has for the teaching of drama in our primary and secondary schools and provides participating teachers with practical classroom approaches. Each year there is a different theme for the course and participants engage with cutting edge classroom practice and the use of innovative strategies to enhance learning.
