Creative Learning Practitioner Call Out

Theatr Iolo are looking for a freelance Creative Practitioner to create and run a Creative Learning and Engagement programme based around Theatr Iolo’s autumn production of Owl at Home.

The Creative Learning and Engagement programme will need to run between May and November 2022. At least 50% of the programme will need to be delivered in the Welsh language. There will be two strands to the programme for schools and families, aimed at children aged 8-11. We are particularly keen to develop a programme which reaches children from diverse backgrounds, including those who are from low-income families or who are disabled;

· Health and Well-Being: Opportunities need to be created for families and schools to take part in a programme to tackle loneliness and isolation by encouraging and fostering inter-generational relationships that are meaningful for both children and older adults. We are looking to work with Age Cymru and the Children’s Laureate of Wales to help deliver elements of the programme.

· Environmental: Owl lives off grid and lives a self-sufficient life by growing his own food, powering his own energy with pedal power and turning junk that he finds into useful objects. We are endeavouring to follow Owl’s principles and use his sustainable rules to help inform our Creative Learning Programme.

Fee: £2000 incl VAT will cover the creation and running of the programme and delivering at least part of the programme yourself.
