Theatr Iolo are looking for someone to work with us to create a video for audiences who are D/deaf to tell them about our new show, Owl at Home.

Theatr Iolo are looking for a young person aged 9-13 who is D/deaf and a confident user of British Sign Language to help us create a video in BSL for other D/deaf children. The video will be about our new show Owl at Home and we are making it to tell young Deaf audiences all about what to expect from the show.

We will be working with actor and access consultant, Emily Howlett, to create a BSL script about the show. Emily will then work with the young person to practice the BSL and prepare it for recording.

If you are a young person who would be interested in making with video with us, please send us a short film using BSL to tell us a bit about yourself and what you like to do in your spare time. There is no right or wrong answer – we are simply looking to see how confident you are using BSL and presenting information on camera.

You will need to get permission from your parent or guardian and be available to record the video in Cardiff during September, on a date that suits you.

Please send your video to hello@theatriolo.com by Sunday 4 September.
